Newcomer of the Month Picked Monday, September 1st, 1997 Sean Archer is still a bit shy, but then, who could blame the newest Federal League Rookie of the Month honoree? He hasn't been around the league long enough to fully know the ropes yet, despite the fact that he's putting up veteran-like numbers. In August the Kingston hitter tagged opposing pitching for a .414 average with 24 hits, 1 home run and 5 RBIs. So far this year Archer is hitting .266 with 5 home runs. |
