Capital City's John Gets CL Player of the Week Monday, August 25th, 1997 Drake John is respected by most Capital City Senators fans for his no-frills style of play. The 26-year-old second baseman went about his business with vigor last week to grab the Colonial League Player of the Week honors. He compiled a .440 average (11-25) with no home runs, 4 RBIs and 5 runs scored. In 89 games this season John has compiled a .293 batting average with 97 hits and 7 home runs. He has also scored 49 times and knocked in 35 runs. |
