Star of the Week Named in FL Monday, August 18th, 1997 Swinging a hot stick last week, Jeffery Younger picked up the Federal League Player of the Week Award today. The 27-year-old shortstop for Park City (F) lashed 10 hits in 22 at-bats as he put together a .455 average with 2 home runs. Younger also drove in 3 runs, scored 6 times and compiled a .571 OBP. This year Younger has hit 16 home runs and posted a .322 batting average. |
