Flores to Miss 5 Weeks Thursday, August 14th, 1997 The injury that has kept Vicente Flores out of action since 08/12/1997 will keep him out a while longer. Liberty (C) Giants officials made the announcement this afternoon. They said that Flores is expected to miss at least 5 weeks with shoulder inflammation. Posting a .289 batting average to date, Flores has 16 home runs and 50 RBIs. |
