FL Player of the Week: Thompson Monday, August 11th, 1997 Last week's standout player in the Federal League was the fine Park City (F) Kings hurler Kyle Thompson. He rung up a 2-0 won-lost record while compiling an impressive 0.63 earned run average on his way to the Player of the Week Award. He struck out 13 in 14.1 innings as he held opponents to a .231 average. This year Thompson has compiled a 10-6 record with a 2.77 ERA. |
