Matt Thompson Gets Diagnosis, Out 8-9 Months
Sunday, August 10th, 1997
Since 08/09/1997, when he suffered a stretched elbow ligament, Matt Thompson has been waiting. Waiting to hear how badly he injured himself during that day's game. Today word came down from the doctors that the Park City (F) starting pitcher would miss 8-9 months. "It could have been better", said Thompson, "but it also could have been much worse."

His record this season is 2-7 in 6 starts and Thompson has a 4.32 ERA.
