Hits Galore: Mills Drills 5 Hits
Wednesday, August 6th, 1997
It was a good day all around. Liberty (F) whipped Kingston 16-1 and Daniel Mills displayed a hot bat, enjoying an outstanding 5-hit day at Kingston Field.

"Some days, lady luck is on your side," he modestly told BNN reporters after the game. His manager told the beat writers otherwise, "His hitting wasn't luck today. It's his solid approach to hitting. Daniel is focused, patient and he hits to all fields. The more solid at-bats you put together, the more success you're going to have."

The 29-year-old shortstop for the Knights collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats to get his name in the record book.

Daniel Mills singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, hit a two-run double in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.

For the year Mills is batting .285 with 2 home runs, 29 RBIs and 55 runs scored.
