Gray Puts Spell on Mount Sterling Saturday, May 3rd, 1997 Jeremy Gray was in command in his outing against the Mount Sterling Gladiators. He hurled the Centerville Cyclones to a 4-0 shutout victory, yielded 3 hits and chalked up 10 strikeouts and no walks. "A complete-game shutout. That's fun territory for me," he told reporters in the postgame interview. "I had good balance and mechanics and was able to keep the ball down. When I do that, good things happen." In 6 starts this season Gray has rung up a 4-1 record and a 2.21 ERA. |
