Gilliam Hears from Medical Staff Thursday, September 5th, 1996
The injury that has kept Ray Gilliam out of action since 08/31/1996 will keep him out a while longer. Kingston Lions officials made the announcement this afternoon. They said that Gilliam is expected to miss at least 12 months with a torn flexor tendon in his elbow.
This year Gilliam has 64 relief appearances, saving 3. His record is 5-1 with 67 strikeouts in 72.1 innings and a 2.12 ERA.
