August's Best Newcomer Named by CL Sunday, September 1st, 1996 Brad Ricker earned August's Rookie of the Month honors in the Colonial League for last month's performance. The boyish Park City (C) first baseman might be wet behind the ears, but he's proving that he has what it takes to play at this level. Ricker hit .290 with 4 home runs, 8 RBIs and 13 runs scored this past month on his way to winning the award. So far this season Ricker is batting .302 with 5 home runs. |
