Mount Sterling's Sam Taylor Suffers Setback Thursday, August 29th, 1996 Sam Taylor's return to the Mount Sterling Gladiators has been delayed. The 27-year-old starting pitcher has been in treatment for acute elbow soreness and was responding well until he suffered sharp pains during a light workout. Upon examination by team doctors they reported that there had been further damage and Taylor would not be back as originally diagnosed. He would now be out at least 2-3 months. In 18 starts this season Taylor has compiled a 11-5 record and a 2.71 ERA. |
