Alexander Set to Miss 7-8 Weeks
Sunday, August 25th, 1996
Michael Alexander will have to wait a while longer. The Mount Sterling starting pitcher was informed this afternoon that he will miss another 7-8 weeks with a strained shoulder. The injury has kept him off the field since 08/22/1996. Though Alexander had hoped to return soon, he has no choice but to be patient. "Gotta stay focused," he said. "Gotta stay positive."

So far this season, Alexander has logged a 12-6 record with a 1.34 ERA. He has started 28 games, hurled 181.2 innings and registered 225 strikeouts and 46 walks.
