Rehab Setback For John Leonard Monday, August 5th, 1996 Portsmouth Clippers shortstop John Leonard got another setback today. His doctors informed him that his injury was not responding as well as they hoped to treatment and that he would be need more time to rehabilitate. If all goes well, they expect Leonard to be ready to go within 2 weeks. He told BNN, "I didn't expect chronic back soreness to take this long to heal." This year Leonard is hitting .235 with 1 home run and 34 RBIs in 89 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .316 with 25 walks and 16 runs scored. |
