Stinson Chosen August's Best CL Hurler Thursday, September 1st, 1994 Neil Stinson has been around the league long enough to know that relievers are often overlooked. That has never stopped him from doing what he does best -- and he did it extremely well in August and stole away with the Colonial League Pitcher of the Month award. The Patriots bullpen ace collected 8 saves and 16 strikeouts in 13 innings, holding the opposition to a .146 average and posting a 1.38 ERA and a 3-0 record. Stinson has made 55 games so far this year with 30 saves. In 64 innings he has dished out 84 strikeouts and walked 13 with a 4-1 mark and a 2.11 ERA. |
