Gaze Wins FL's Best Bat Trophy Thursday, September 1st, 1994 Kevin Gaze of the Kingston Lions recorded a .316 batting average in August. His hitting spree racked up the Federal League Batter of the Month award for his trophy case. The Kingston first baseman battered opposing pitchers all month, accumulating 8 home runs, 14 RBIs and scoring 17 runs. So far on the season Gaze is hitting .314 with 24 home runs, 62 RBIs and 78 runs scored. He has 150 hits and played in 128 games. |
