Garland Receives Injury Update

The latest news from the Mount Sterling Gladiators clubhouse is this: reliever Mike Garland is expected to be out of action for another 8 months. He has a torn flexor tendon in his elbow, sustained on 08/26/1994. Garland expressed a bit of relief. "At least now I know," he said.
Crunching the numbers on Garland for the year, he has made 23 relief appearances, recorded 2 saves and compiled a 0-1 won-lost mark and 5.64 ERA. In pitching 30.1 innings, he has totaled 41 strikeouts and 27 walks.
