Knights José Díaz Swings Hot Bat, FL Winner Monday, August 15th, 1994 The hottest bat of the week belonged to Liberty (F) center fielder José Díaz. He went on a rampage last week against FL hurlers and rapped out 13 hits in 27 at-bats for a .481 average while hitting 1 home run, driving in 8 runs and scoring 5 runs -- numbers quite worthy of the Federal League Player of the Week trophy. Díaz was honored today at a press conference. On the year Díaz has hit .255 with 12 home runs, 54 RBIs and scored 52 runs. |
