Ralph Torres Out of Action Tuesday, August 2nd, 1994 Liberty (F) fans held their breath as Ralph Torres left yesterday's Lions-Knights contest with an injury. After the game, the team's medical staff said that the 28-year-old right fielder had suffered a torn ligament in his thumb while making a defensive play. It's estimated that he will be out 3 weeks. Torres is presently hitting at a .295 pace with 20 home runs and 54 RBIs. He has played in 78 games and scored 41 times. |
