That's All She Wrote: Career Over for Arnett
Tuesday, August 2nd, 1994
The baseball career of Sean Arnett is over. A spokesperson for the Centerville Cyclones clarified earlier comments about the 29-year-old second baseman. Arnett, he said, will retire effective immediately, as the result of a torn labrum. Though he had spoken optimistically about playing again, Arnett informed the team that he has decided to retire. It is a sad day for Centerville -- a sad day for those who had hoped that Arnett would return.
Arnett is presently hitting at a .236 pace with 7 home runs, 27 RBIs and has scored 34 times.
