Steelers-Patriots Swap: Sorley for Bennett Tuesday, July 26th, 1994 Irondale and Park City (C) made a trade today. In this move, the Steelers shipped 29-year-old reliever Jim Sorley to the Patriots for 20-year-old second baseman Michael Bennett. The Irondale GM told reporters, "I think this trade is beneficial to everyone involved, including the players." Sorley has made 27 relief appearances this year and notched 1 save. To date in 39.1 innings he has a 3-0 record, 3.43 ERA with 34 strikeouts and 15 walks. |
