Bad News for Giants, MacIntosh Injured Sunday, September 12th, 1993 The Liberty (C) Giants were dealt a severe blow when Tim MacIntosh was hurt colliding with a player at a base recently in a game against the Portsmouth Clippers. After the game, the team trainer reported MacIntosh might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 34-year-old shortstop out for the rest of the season with a hamstring strain. They indicated it would take MacIntosh at least 4 weeks to heal. So far this year MacIntosh is batting .324 with 4 home runs. |
