Lions Chill Jones's Hot Streak
Tuesday, September 7th, 1993
The Mount Sterling Gladiators lost to the Kingston Lions 6-2 today at Mountainview Stadium, but perhaps the bigger news was the end of David Jones's 22-game hitting streak.

"We felt if we could slow down Jones, we would win the game," the Lions manager explained after the game. "They really seemed to feed off of his streak, so we really wanted to make sure they had nothing to feed off of."

This season Jones is batting .356 with 91 RBIs, 87 runs scored and 29 home runs.
