Week's #1 Player Honored by FL Monday, September 6th, 1993 So far in his young career, Bill Harrington has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Federal League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 23-year-old Fremont Tigers third baseman hit at a torrid .379 clip as he collected 11 hits in 29 at-bats, 2 home runs, 5 RBIs and 4 runs scored. This season Harrington is hitting .311 with 88 hits, 10 home runs, 30 RBIs, scored 42 runs and played in 75 games. |
