Number 185 by Jones Puts Name Atop Hit List

After a record-setting game at Mountainview Stadium David Jones told reporters, "Wow, 185 is a bunch of hits. This has been a very special season. Who would've thunk it? Can you believe I broke the record of Jason Coffman?... now he was some kind of hitter." The gifted Mount Sterling star hitter is also some kind of hitter, too. Jones now possesses the league record for hits in a season with 185.
David Jones singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 5th and walked in the 7th.
