FL Selects Rookie Star of the Month Wednesday, September 1st, 1993 Youngster Bill Harrington emerged as the latest Federal League Rookie of the Month today. The young man from Fremont deserved the honor, batting .295 with 4 home runs and 10 runs batted in. Is the month of August a harbinger of things to come or just a fluke? We'll find out someday, but for now, we'll just let Harrington enjoy the limelight. In 70 games Harrington is hitting .310 this season with 80 hits, 10 home runs, 28 RBIs, 33 walks, .404 OBP and has scored 40 runs. |
