Colonial League Names #1 Pitcher in August Wednesday, September 1st, 1993 Matt Haley's been around the league long enough to appreciate the honor he received today. After going 5-0 in August, the 38-year-old Park City (C) hurler has been named Colonial League Pitcher of the Month. He fanned 28 in 43 innings, logged an ERA of 2.30 and allowed opponents to hit .238 against him. In 28 starts this season, Haley has recorded 9 wins and absorbed 13 losses. He has pitched 172.2 innings, allowed 179 hits, struck out 107 and has a 4.59 ERA. |
