Mills 5-6 Against Kings
Saturday, August 28th, 1993
Players get multihit games all the time. But a 5-hit game comes around only once in a blue moon. It happened at Teflon Field when Daniel Mills of Fremont scattered 5 hits all over the ballpark against the Park City (F) Kings.
He walloped 5 hits in 6 at-bats in his career-day performance to help the Tigers get by the Kings 7-1.
In a talkative and jovial mood after the game, the second baseman of the Tigers said, "Whoa, my swing was really, really there today. I made some good, sweet-spot contact and when that happens... good things happen... like 5-6. I could get used to a lot of days like this one."
Daniel Mills grounded out in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
This year Mills is hitting at a .287 pace with 2 home runs and 36 RBIs. He has played in 109 games and scored 53 times.
