Cyclones, Navigators Confirm Swap Friday, July 16th, 1993 A trade was announced today at a press conference in Centerville. Not satisfied with their current roster, the Centerville Cyclones general manager shook things up by acquiring 18-year-old starting pitcher Ramón Castro from the Newport Navigators for 25-year-old reliever Ulf Ericksson. The Cyclones general manager said, "We're a better team now. We've added several pieces to the puzzle." This season Ericksson has been credited with no saves. In 21 relief appearances and 65.2 innings he has a 2-2 won-lost mark, a 3.84 ERA and 48 strikeouts. |
