Portsmouth Loses Howard for 8-9 Months Monday, August 29th, 1988 The injury that has kept Pat Howard out of action since 08/26/1988 will keep him out a while longer. Portsmouth Clippers officials made the announcement this afternoon. They said that Howard is expected to miss at least 8-9 months with a broken kneecap. This season Howard is batting .283 with 18 home runs. He has scored 56 runs and driven in 55. |
