Gore Sets New Single-Season Strikeout Record Sunday, August 28th, 1988 Liberty's Trent Gore keeps racking up the strikeouts -- so many, in fact, that he just established a new record for strikeouts in a single season. Strikeout number 190 broke the old record established by Edward Davis. Gore received a fine ovation from the crowd at M&M's Field when the public address announcer noted the achievement. So far this year Gore has a 10-10 record with a 3.33 ERA. |
