Coffman Week's Best in CL Monday, August 22nd, 1988 So far in his young career, Jason Coffman has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Colonial League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 24-year-old Irondale Steelers first baseman hit at a torrid .481 clip as he collected 13 hits in 27 at-bats, 4 home runs, 10 RBIs and 8 runs scored. This season Coffman is batting at a .345 clip with 35 home runs and 100 RBIs. |
