Tim MacIntosh out 3-4 Weeks With Injury Friday, August 12th, 1988 The Portsmouth Clippers were dealt a severe blow when Tim MacIntosh was hurt running the bases recently in a game against the Newport Navigators. After the game, the team trainer reported MacIntosh might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 28-year-old shortstop out for the rest of the season with a strained groin muscle. They indicated it would take MacIntosh at least 3-4 weeks to heal. This year MacIntosh is batting .310 with 3 home runs. |
