Harden Out 13 Months Friday, July 1st, 1988 Chris Harden will have to wait a while longer. The Irondale closer was informed this afternoon that he will miss another 13 months with a torn ulnar collateral ligament. The injury has kept him off the field since 06/27/1988. Though Harden had hoped to return soon, he has no choice but to be patient. "Gotta stay focused," he said. "Gotta stay positive." To date in 31 relief appearances, Harden has recorded 15 saves while posting an ERA of 0.87 and 21 strikeouts in 31 innings pitched. His totals for the year also include 2 wins and no losses. |
