Colonial League Names Rookie of Month Friday, July 1st, 1988 Gregg Kelly's eyes seem to light up whenever he sees the baseball. The young Mount Sterling left fielder has been hitting everything in sight for the better part of a month. In June he was voted the Rookie of the Month Award. During the month he hit .363 with 10 doubles, no triples and 3 home runs. Kelly also scored 13 times and drove in 8 runs. In 1988 Kelly has hit at a .269 clip with 64 hits, 5 home runs, 24 RBIs and has scored 28 times. |
