Hansford Receives Updated Diagnosis Monday, June 20th, 1988 Since 06/17/1988, when he suffered shoulder inflammation, Chad Hansford has been waiting. Waiting to hear how badly he injured himself during that day's game. Today word came down from the doctors that the Mount Sterling starting pitcher would miss 4 months. "It could have been better", said Hansford, "but it also could have been much worse." On the season Hansford has compiled a 6-3 mark with a 3.47 ERA in 15 starts. In pitching 90.2 innings he has 85 strikeouts and 11 walks while limiting the opposition to a .262 batting average. |
