5-5 Day for Holmes Sunday, July 28th, 1985 Liberty center fielder Eric Holmes wielded a big stick today against the Senators and his club walked off the field winners by the score of 5-4. Holmes helped tame Capital City with 5 hits in 5 at-bats. Eric Holmes singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Roosevelt Jones in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
