MacIntosh Sets New Single-Season Hit Mark

An amazing season for Tim MacIntosh reached its climax today, as the Portsmouth Clippers' shortstop set the league record for most hits in a single season with 154, passing the great Harry Cooper. Fans at Navigators Ballpark gave him a 5-minute standing ovation after the historic hit.

Tim MacIntosh struck out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd and walked in the 6th.

On the season, MacIntosh is batting .370 with 5 home runs and 42 RBIs. He has played in 91 games.
