Park City Rookie Reels in Reward in June Monday, July 1st, 1985 Charles Messer's eyes seem to light up whenever he sees the baseball. The young Park City first baseman has been hitting everything in sight for the better part of a month. In June he was voted the Rookie of the Month Award. During the month he hit .299 with 3 doubles, no triples and 9 home runs. Messer also scored 18 times and drove in 19 runs. So far this year Messer has hit .280 with 13 home runs, 38 RBIs and 41 runs scored. |
