Sunday, August 7th, 1983
Sergio Gutiérrez, third baseman for the Capital City Senators, was making great progress in healing a strained hamstring according to a team spokesman, but then he suffered a setback yesterday. "Sergio was doing great in his rehab until he overdid it in a recent workout. Now doctors say it will be at least 6 days before he will be able to rejoin the club."
So far this season Gutiérrez is batting .323 with 2 home runs, 23 RBIs and 28 runs scored. He has 71 hits in 220 at-bats, 6 walks and a .342 OBP. Gutiérrez has played in 49 games.
