Colonial League Names Rookie of Month Monday, August 1st, 1983 Youngster Nathan Roberson emerged as the latest Colonial League Rookie of the Month today. The young man from Portsmouth deserved the honor, batting .287 with no home runs and 11 RBI. Is the month of July a harbinger of things to come or just a fluke? We'll find out someday, but for now, we'll just let Roberson enjoy the limelight. This season in 49 games, Roberson has hit at a .287 clip with 56 hits, no home runs, 21 RBIs and 25 runs scored. |
