Capital City-Newport Deal Confirmed Thursday, July 28th, 1983 In a hastily called press conference, Capital City announced today a trade with Newport that will send 25-year-old left fielder Terry Hall and 24-year-old reliever Sam Leach to the Navigators in exchange for 31-year-old right fielder John Taylor. All players are expected to be in their respective new cities in time for today's games. Hall is hitting .230 this season with 12 home runs, 27 RBIs and 30 runs scored. He has 43 hits in 187 at-bats. This season Taylor has hit at a .271 clip with 29 RBIs, 4 home runs and 45 runs scored. He has played in 100 games. |
