He blanked the Newport Navigators 4-0 on 2 hits and had 1 walk and 9 strikeouts. "You know what he's going to throw. You know what to expect. And you still can't hit it," the Newport skipper told reporters after the shutout loss to the Liberty Giants. "He just had a real deceptive fastball today and he was throwing it for strikes."
