CL Selects Rookie Star of the Month Friday, July 1st, 1983 Nathan Roberson's eyes seem to light up whenever he sees the baseball. The young Portsmouth left fielder has been hitting everything in sight for the better part of a month. In June he was voted the Rookie of the Month Award. During the month he hit .287 with 4 doubles, 2 triples and no home runs. Roberson also scored 16 times and drove in 10 runs. This year Roberson is hitting .287, produced 10 RBIs and 0 home runs, scored 16 times and gotten on base at a .354 rate. |
